Practitioner Badges

The practitioner badges are a way to recognize that students have practiced scientific-thinking Starter Kata routines from Kata in the Classroom. Each badge represents one of the five practice routines and serves as a visual reminder of a student's hands-on experience with scientific thinking.
You’ll find a PowerPoint file below with ready-to-use graphics for each badge. These can be printed as stickers, or made into patches, backpack charms, or other creative tokens to share with your students.
The badges aren’t meant as awards for top performance. Instead, they’re for any student who has actively practiced a routine over time. For example, you might give out a particular badge to all your students after they have practiced that routine in different ways over the course of a week or two.
